Iced Honey Matcha Latte

This Iced Honey Matcha Latte is the perfect pick me up on a summer afternoon or to wake you up on a hot summer morning. It is the perfect blend between slightly bitter and sweet! It can be made dairy free and can be adjusted very easily to each individual's personal preferences. Not to mention it only requires 3 basic ingredients!

Equipment

  • milk frother (optional)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tsp matcha powder
  • 1/3 cup hot water
  • 1 cup milk of choice (I used almond milk but any milk will work)
  • a handful of ice cubes
  • 2-3 tsp honey (adjust to personal taste)

Instructions
 

  • Add matcha powder and hot water to a bowl
  • Whisk the matcha powder and hot water together until there are no clumps (I like to use a hand held electric milk frother to ensure the matcha powder dissolves well)
  • To your liquid matcha mixture add in your desired amount of honey and whisk again until the honey is well combined
  • Add the milk along with a handful of ice cubes to a seperate glass
  • Slowly pour the liquid matcha mixture over your milk, stir and enjoy!
